Novum, which means ‘new innovation’ in Latin, promises to become an iconic Kuala Lumpur development that will define the emerging, sought-after Bangsar South precinct for years to come. Eupe Corporation Berhad’s first major residential project in Malaysia’s capital is Novum. Novum, which will be completed by the end of 2019, is based on Eupe’s key architectural principle of ‘iconic design.’
Eupe, which was founded in Kedah over 30 years ago, was awarded Best Condo/Apartment Architectural Design at the 6th annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) in April 2019.
The USD55 million Novum development, with the goal of “going beyond your expectations,” is the creative result of highly regarded collaborators enlisted by Eupe to work with it on project design and development. Among these firms are notable architectural firm Surbana International Consultants, interior designers Design Stream, and landscapers Paxcis Design.
Novum features three towers with a stunning façade, clean lines, stylish comfort, and distinctive, high-quality architecture. The towers interlock and have linked lifestyle areas, creating what Eupe refers to as “clusters of villages in the sky.” The first tower has 31 storeys and seven units per floor, while the other two have 37 and 40 storeys and ten units per floor, respectively.
With 49 different types of one-to-three-bedroom freehold units ranging from 647 to 1,441 square feet, spacious comfort and flexibility are achieved.
The overall cohesion of style and lifestyle focus within the scope of the architecture, design, and concept at Novum impressed this year’s judging panel. The judges laud the project for bringing “nature and tranquilly to the heart of a concrete world.”
“Novum’s architectural lines and angles certainly exude creative elegance and sophistication, with playful pocket gardens, spacious living units, and communal lifestyle areas.” The development is fit for a new iconic landmark.”
Novum not only excels in iconic architectural design but also in innovative connectivity features, such as its own app, wired communal spaces, and security system, as well as a long list of distinctive lifestyle features. For example, the spacious shared areas on the mezzanine and sixth floors, as well as serenity spaces infused with greenery and overlooking cityscape views.
Novum residents will also enjoy enviable leisure experiences such as a ‘Celebrity Kitchen’ with the latest professional cooking equipment, and a lavish and intimate linked dining area to entertain friends and family, while a BBQ zone offers casual dining outdoors.
The sixth floor also invites residents to relax and stay active with a 50-metre lap pool, paddling pool, reflective pond, and water play area, as well as a cabana, sauna, and whirlpool. There is also a pre-function terrace, multi-purpose hall, and sunken outdoor lounge for gatherings and events, as well as a meditation deck, teahouse, and playground to complete the village feel.
The extensive list of facilities also includes’moodscapes,’ open-air spaces for recreation and relaxation, each themed to capture a different ambiance. The business centre is also cutting-edge, with video conferencing capabilities. The mezzanine also includes a dance studio, floating gym, outdoor gym, al fresco lounge, and kickboxing area.
To summarise, Novum confirms Bangsar South’s growing reputation as a residential hotspot with an iconic design and innovative lifestyle concept that truly reflects the accolade of ‘new innovation.’
